The Statewide Illinois Library Catalog, known as SILC, is Illinois' first all inclusive statewide union catalog that integrates WorldCat and the Illinois Library Systems' local consortial OPACs, to provide both shelf status and interlibrary loan capabilities in a single searchable interface. SILC resides on the familiar FirstSearch platform as an additional WorldCat database that allows users to scope to regional groups within Illinois, as well as by type of library. From a single WorldCat record, users will be able to link to a local shared catalog record to see if and where an item is available for loan.

eBooks are full-text electronic versions of published books that library patrons can search, borrow, read, and return over the Internet. 

Library patrons can search across the entire eBook collection for authors, titles, or keywords, and they can search within books for keywords and phrases. 

Worth Public Library's eBook collection includes 621 copyrighted ebooks.. In addition, patrons have access to more than 3,400 public domain eBooks, featuring political texts and classics in literature and history. In addition, all netLibrary eBooks are embedded with the Houghton Mifflin 4th Edition of The American Heritage® Dictionary of the English Language enabling patrons to access a definition, visual or verbal pronunciation simply by highlighting a word.
