Registration
Registration starts Wednesday,
June 1st.
Registration ends Saturday, June
18th.
(Unless you call and make other
arrangements
with the Children's Librarian. )
How
Does It Work?
Bring a valid library card to
register at our Circulation Desk.
Participants will receive
their own Reading Journal and Super
Summer Reading Kit. In your
journal, write down the name and
author of every book read this
summer. Participants may also
listen to books on tape or have
someone read to/with them.
(requirements are below)
Bring your Reading Journal to the
library when you check in for
a prize. You may check in for only
one prize per week.
No multiple prizes will be given
at any one time.
Prize collection starts Monday,
June 20th at 9am.
Reading Journals must be
turned in by Saturday, July 30th.
No prizes will be given out
after Saturday, July 30th.
Requirements
Participants will be asked to
read a certain number of books,
determined by grade level. Your grade
level is the grade you
will be entering in the Fall.
Preschool - 2nd Grade
For every 15 books read, you
may choose one prize.
When you reach 30 books, you
win a party pass to our
End-of-Summer Reading Party
Grades 3-5
For every 5 books of 100 pages
or more, you may choose one
prize. When you reach 5 books,
you win a party pass to our
End-of-Summer Reading Party
Grades 6 and Up
Junior High and Teen Reading Program
For every 5 books of 150 pages
or more, you may choose one
prize.
Write down the name and author of the
book & the number of
pages. Bring your list to
the Library to receive your prizes.
When you reach your Teen Reading Goal
of 5 books, turn your
list in to the Library. Your name
will be entered into a special
prize drawing to win a gift
certificate.
