Maker Contest/Show (July 6th to August 6th)

Each week in July, ideas for an art or craft project will be posted on our website and Facebook page. You can use this idea, or make up your own project. Bring your completed project(s) to the Youth Services desk. We will display the projects in the Youth Services Department, and a winner will be chosen at the end of summer reading. There will be one prize for kids, and one prize for teens. Projects will be judged on creativity and quality of work.

Entering the Maker Contest/Show is also a summer reading online activity. When you enter the contest/show, you will receive a code to enter. Completing this activity will help you earn your badge for an online raffle ticket for a grand prize.

**A Youth Services staff member should be available M-Th between the hours of 10 and 7, and F, 10-4. There are times when the department may not be staffed. If we are not available at the time you come in we apologize for the inconvenience. You can leave us a note in our “mailbox” on the desk, and we will contact you to set up a time when you can come in. Feel free to call us at 708-448-2855 x3 if you know you are coming in, and we will confirm with you if someone will be at the desk at that time.
