Get a Library Card

Library cards are issued to residents of Worth and must be applied for in person at the library.

Library Card Requirements for Adults:

• Live within Worth
• A valid government issued ID or passport
• Proof of address such as:
  – Postmarked mail in your name less than 3 months old.
  – A current major utility bill – electric, water, gas, etc.
  – A property tax bill
  – Lease or mortgage paperwork
  If you are unable to provide proof of address, we will be happy to mail you a postcard to your Worth address which you can subsequently use for your library card application.

Library Card Requirements for Children Under Age 18:

• A parent or legal guardian must be present to get a card for a child under the age of 18, along with the child.
• The parent or guardian must accept responsibility for any items checked out to the child’s card.
• Children under the age of 11 must be accompanied by a person 14 years of age or older at all times.

Library Bonus for New or Renewed Library Cards

• Patrons receive a free DVD rental coupon with a new or renewed library card.
