The French name Mardi Gras means Fat Tuesday, from the custom of using all the fats in the home before Lent in preparation for fasting and abstinence. We start the Carnival off with Beads & Gumbo as Bob Trzeciak takes us on a journey to New Orleans: the people, the hot spots, and the ghosts who haunt the French Quarter.
