This presentation focuses on the often overlooked issue of abuse in later life, examining how older adults may experience  physical, emotional, sexual, financial, and neglect-based abuse—often at the hands of  family members, caregivers, or trusted individuals. We will explore the unique dynamics of  elder abuse, including generational barriers, dependency, isolation, and ageism.  Attendees will learn how to recognize warning signs, understand risk factors, and identify  appropriate intervention and support strategies. Designed for professionals, caregivers,  advocates, and community members, this session aims to raise awareness, challenge  stigma, and promote safety and dignity for older adults
