Each volume includes concise synopses of plot, characters and themes; an author biography; a discussion of the story’s cultural and historical significance; excerpted criticism; and two “Literature to Film” study entries about film adaptations of commonly studied works that provide criticism and highlight technique, comparing and contrasting the film and the work.
